The New Testament reading is divided into 11 weeks. If you complete one section per week, you will finish the Bible in about a year. If it’s too much for you, please don’t get frustrated and quit … just read as much as you can as often as you can until you are finished, then start again!
400 Years of Silence
The Old Testament and New Testament are separated by 400 years of Scriptural silence. Though many other historical documents were written during this period, God spoke not a word to His people nor to His prophets. Prior to this period of silence, God informed His prophets about the coming of the Messiah. Four hundred years later, just as Daniel had prophesied, that Messiah was born. During His 33 years on this earth, Jesus fulfilled every single prophesy recorded in Scripture about the Messiah.
