Central Baptist Church in McNeil started their revival last Sunday with two powerful sermons which were preached by Dr. Danny Lanier (visit Bro. Danny’s website), and as usual the ladies from Central served up a feast at the dinner on the grounds after the morning service … that’s where this photo was made.

One thing we have learned is that our churches are where the BEST cooks gather. There isn’t a restaurant around that could rival the cooks we’ve met at church. No wonder church leaders so often plan a meal with their meetings!

Bro. Danny preaches a strong gospel message, and we recognize a powerful presence of the Holy Spirit in him and his ministry. We had four public professions of faith this week as Bro. Danny challenged us to take an honest look at our relationship with God. Not only does Bro. Danny preach … he also sings, and Benjy had the privilege of singing a duet with him Sunday evening. Wow, they sound great together! Bro. Danny and Benjy make a great evangelistic team, and we have enjoyed serving alongside him this week.

Would you pray for Bro. Danny and his family? Ask God to give him and his wife good health, to help him keep his calendar filled with opportunities to serve, and to help him continue to preach a strong gospel message that reaches the lost and brings them in to God’s family.

Central Baptist has invited Benjy to lead the music for their revivals many times in recent years, so Bro. Billy Galloway and the congregation feel like family to us. As always, the choir was a joy to work and worship with. We thank each one of them for the extra effort they gave to practice and use their voices to to lead in praise and worship.

People often ask me if McKenzie sings, and the answer is YES! At Central, she and her friend, Austin, sang Word of God Speak for special music on youth night. Personally, I think they sang it better than it’s ever been sung … but then I am her mom, and I might be just a smidge biased!
