Bro. Kriss Haymes, pastor of Roseland Park Baptist Church, really knows how to make a POINT in his sermons! My camera caught him at just the right moment, didn’t it? Sorry Bro. Kriss … but you DID make some great points in this sermon about Heaven, and I just couldn’t miss the opportunity to share it with our friends and family.

Using an acrostic of the word HEAVEN, Bro. Kriss shared some important facts about the place every faithful believer will call home for all eternity. Considering the length of time we’ll be spending there, we really should be curious about the details of Heaven, don’t you think?

Heaven is:

Home: it is God’s home … His dwelling place, AND the home of ‘relocated believers!’

Exists: it is a REAL place, not just a state of mind.

Active: it is the center of God’s work, AND there is a massive building plan going on there.

Valuable: it is a place of GREAT rewards, and some of these rewards will be people we have won to the lord!

Entered: it will be entered by faithful believers only. God does not grade on a curve!

Near: it is very near … Heaven is at hand!

The point is: Are YOU ok with Heaven being near at hand?

Benjy choose to sing Jerusalem before the sermon without knowing that Bro. Kriss would be preaching about Heaven. How appropriate! That’s the way God leads His people, isn’t it?
