What Happened to Benjy
Mar 12th, 2008
We were all geared up and ready to go to the Antioch Baptist revival, but something was wrong … Benjy didn’t feel well. He woke up Friday morning with a flu-like symptoms. He went on to work, but soon realized he needed to see the doctor. A quick visit to the clinic revealed that he had a temp of 102, and he was diagnosed with the flu. The doctor prescribed Tamiflu and told him to cancel his revival plans. He came home at lunch, took his medicine, called Bro. Ray Spence, made his apologizes, and spent the rest of the weekend on the sofa. Poor guy … the flu can be miserable! But the Tamiflu did work quickly, and by Monday he was back at work. We hated to miss the revival. It was the first time we have ever had to cancel an appointment.
Bro. Ray was very understanding and scheduled Benjy to come for their fall revival, sometime in October. We thank God for Benjy’s speedy recovery, and for providing us with a second opportunity to meet with HIS people at Antioch Baptist in Union, MS.
