Pretty In Pink
Nov 26th, 2008
Pretty in pink! McKenzie and our sweet friend Louise were both sporting their favorite color last Sunday. Aren’t they a pretty pair?
Where We Have Been
It’s been a long while since we worshiped with our friends at First Baptist Ozona, so we were happy to be with them last Sunday. They are currently without a pastor, so they have asked Benjy to preach for a couple of weeks. It was announced Sunday evening that Bro. G.A. McCoy has accepted the offer to serve as interim pastor until God sends them a new shepherd. He’ll start the first week of December, and we know they will enjoy having Bro. McCoy behind their pulpit. I don’t know how many churches Bro. McCoy has pastored since he “retired,” but I do know that sitting around doing nothing wasn’t in his retirement plan, because a LOT of churches have benefited from his strong leadership while they searched for a new pastor. May the Lord continue to bless Bro. and Ms. McCoy for their faithful service.
Benjy and Bro. Billy … maybe I should have tilted the camera a little to make up for the height difference!
We want to say a special ‘Thank You’ to Ms. Berryl. She is SUCH a faithful servant … she is a member of a neighboring church, but she volunteers as pianist on Sundays at FBC Ozona as a ministry to them.
Where We Are Going
Next week Benjy will be back in the pulpit at First Baptist Ozona, and the following week we’ll be returning to Roseland Park Baptist Church where he’ll lead the praise time and provide special music. We’ve enjoyed serving at Roseland Park this year. They are a great congregation, and they have a wonderful pastor.
