How Fast Can You Share God’s Word?

The Gideons International Ministry can place two Bibles per second … and they’ve been keeping up that pace for nearly 10 years!
The Poplarville Camp of Gideons hosted a steak and shrimp dinner for our local pastors, and Benjy was invited to lead the congregational singing and provide special music. The fellowship was sweet and the food was GREAT! (That’s McKenzie on this end of the table … isn’t she cute? Boy, am I going to get in trouble when she reads this!)
The guest speaker (I’m sorry, I’ve forgotten his name) told an inspiring story about how he was given a Bible by a Gideon 32 years ago, when he was in college. He has kept that Bible on his desk all these years, and he has led 28 people to the Lord using that very worn copy of God’s Word! Praise the LORD! Isn’t that a powerful testimony of faithfulness?

We were glad to see Bro. Arlice Grice and Ms. Nel at the dinner. Many of you know Bro. Grice retired a couple of years ago, but you may not be aware that he is currently serving as interim pastor at Juniper Grove Baptist Church in Poplarville. Please pray for Juniper Grove as they seek to find a full time pastor who has a heart for God and a vision for this congregation and their community.
