Homecoming 2007 at Union Baptist Church
Sep 28th, 2007
We were honored to be able to participate in Union Baptist’s celebration of their 165th year last Sunday. What a long and rich heritage the founding members of this church have left! Benjy, McKenzie, and I joined Union’s fellowship 4 years ago, and we have been blessed beyond our expectations by the members and the ministry of this body of believers. We really appreciate all the love and support of our family there.
Benjy really got a work-out for this homecoming service. He was invited to preach and sing! He and the choir opened the service with an out-of-this-world performance of Beulah Land. I asked the audio/visual team to record it. When I get my copy, I’ll post it on this website for you to enjoy.
Later in the service Benjy, Dr. John McNair, and Clovis Crocker sang I Call You Holy. I managed to record a small portion of that with my video camera. The recording isn’t that great, but it will give you an idea of how wonderful their voices are together.

Tommy sure knows how to dress up a camouflaged shirt!
The singing was great, the preaching was great, the fellowship was great, and of course, the dinner on the grounds was great! We are already looking forward to next year’s 166th homecoming!
