Ending Revival Season 2008 On A High Note
Nov 21st, 2008
I’m so glad Bro. Randall took this pic of our family last week. I’m almost always behind the camera, and I’m sure people sometimes wonder why we never have a family pic. on our website. Thanks for your thoughtfulness Bro. Randall!
Where We Have Been
The revival at West Poplarville Baptist Church was our final one for 2008, and what a revival it was! There were 8 professions of faith (maybe more, I haven’t talked with Bro. Kevin since the last night), and there was such an excitement in the air all week. The fellowship was sweet, the singing was enthusiastic, and the preaching was solid.
Bro. Kevin Wilcox invited Bro. Randall Creel to preach and Benjy to lead the praise during the revival, and together they were a great evangelistic team. We saw the congregation flow smoothly from praise to worship and on into the altar service, where many came up for prayer, recommittment, and salvation.
Bro. Randall is a full time evangelist out of Forest, MS, and he says he will go wherever the Lord opens a door, by invitation. You can learn more about his ministry and check his schedule online at www.RandallCreel.org.
We praise the Lord for what He is doing at West Poplarville Baptist Church. That congregation is continuing to grow, and we are encouraged by them every time we meet with them. Their buildings and grounds are taking on a new look, as they continue to upgrade their facilities with new awnings, new flooring, and a fresh coat of paint.
Where We Are Going
Benjy will be preaching at First Baptist Ozona for the next two Sundays, as they are currently without a pastor. Would you be praying for our sister church? Ask that the Lord will soon send the right man to lead that congregation and minister to their community.
Update On McKenzie
We want to thank all of you for praying for McKenzie this month. She seems to be having fewer bouts with her tummy, so we are thankful for that. She had an endoscopy at Children’s Hospital in New Orleans last Friday … all her biopsies and blood work came back in the normal range, and the endoscopy showed a nice healthy, pink tummy with no ulcers. The doctor advised us to take her completely off milk for a few days … so that is what we are doing now. Next, we will investigate sugar.
