Rigney Ministries

It was a new concept to us … a revival in January! And what’s more, it was held one night in each of the five churches in the Nicholson community, something like a progressive dinner! In an effort to draw the community together, the five pastors of the Nicholson Baptist churches joined hands and worked together as a whole … and the result was impressive!

The pastor preached the sermon on the night when the revival was held at his church, and Benjy led the music each night. Pictured here are the five pastors and Benjy at the final service of the week. The revival services drew enthusiastic crowds, and the excitement grew each night.

The praise team from New Life Baptist provided praise music with a live band each night. We really enjoyed the talents of this team, and our worship experienced was enhanced because of their offerings.

A very moving drama was presented by the youth of New Life Baptist Church on the final evening, and it was followed by a compelling sermon which challenged us to:

• Stir up the gifts of the Spirit that God has put within us.
• Stand up and make the church recognizable in our community.
• Step out with the gospel.

At the end of the service the pastor asked the congregation … “So, what time is it?”

And the congregation responded … “It’s time to BE the church!”
