Benjy: I remember as a small boy sitting on the church piano stool beside my mother and swinging my legs while my dad and two older brothers were singing on stage. I loved to fill in the parts of the songs where there were no words with a loud “do-do-do”. This is my first recollection of what I thought was singing. Apparently, my additions made for some funny sounding songs. I’ve been singing the gospel ever since those humble beginnings, then at the age of 36 the Lord called me to preach. Since that day, it has been my pleasure to both sing and preach, as my family and I look for every opportunity to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ, the hope of every heart.
Tammie: Learning, living, and loving - that’s what my life is all about. Studying is something I absolutely love to do, and God’s Word is my favorite subject. Learning what pleases Him and living it out is teaching me to love Him more. Actually, it’s teaching me to love others more, too. From the time I was saved, I have felt a special calling to encourage and nurture others as they develop a mature relationship with the Lord, but it wasn’t until I got serious about spending time in His Word and prayer that I really began to understand just how much He loves me – and how He wants to love others through me.
McKenzie: Born as the only child of adoring parents, and enjoying life as the only grandchild has not caused me to be spoiled in the least! I mean, I’m sure lots of kids get loads of attention, their own room, and most everything they ask for, right? Just kidding! I know I’m living a blessed life, not because of those things, but because I’m a child of the King, and He loves to bless those whose hearts are fully committed to Him (2 Chronicles 16:9 and Deuteronomy 7:90).
Our Family: We recognize that reading the Bible is a very important aspect of the Christian’s relationship with God. We understand that all we need to know of Him has been penned, preserved, and presented in this one book. Because of this, we are adding a Chronological Bible Reading Plan to our web site. We’re taking the challenge to “hide His Word in our heart,” and we hope you’ll do the same by joining us as we read through the Bible together.
Our Website: We invite you to take a look around, and leave us a comment when you feel inclined to do so. We’d love to hear from you! You’ll find family and ministry photos scattered throughout our web site, and a Newsletter where we write a little about what’s going on with us personally. We even have a page featuring Benjy’s Music Projects and another showing our Calender of Events so you’ll know where we are and when we’re available.
Our Prayer: We are so excited by the work we have seen God accomplishing in us and around us. God’s Word tells us He never slumbers (Psalm 121:3-4); He is always at work. We pray that you will easily recognize His presence as He works in your life today, and that you will have an obedient heart that pleases Him.
Joyfully Serving Him,
Benjy, Tammie, and McKenzie Rigney
